When people ask me what the most powerful part of EOS is…
I often say Vision.
Not because it’s fluffy.
Not because it sounds good on a wall.
But because when it’s done properly it changes the trajectory of a business, and in my case, the trajectory of my life.
Years ago, we implemented EOS across our entire business.
We got crystal clear on:
• Where we were going
• What we wanted the business to look like
• Who we were and weren’t, and when we needed to say No!
• And what had to be true in 10 years, 3 years, 1 year and 90 days
Most importantly we made sure everyone understood it.
No more guessing.
No more mixed messages.
No more “I thought we were doing this?”
That clarity allowed us to scale with confidence.
It positioned us for a merger.
And ultimately it enabled us to exit.
But here’s the part that matters most to me…
Because we were intentional about our Vision, we didn’t just build a sellable business.
We built a business that served our life.
For years we had a “one day” dream, to live our "EOS Life":
Base ourselves in Bali
Travel extensively
Continue meaningful work
Today Nick Clift & I run a consulting practice and my EOS practice from exactly that place.
Vision isn’t about revenue targets.
It’s about designing a business that funds and enables the life you actually want.
If your leadership team isn’t 100% aligned on where you’re going and why everything else is harder than it needs to be.
Clarity scales.
Vision liberates.
If you’d like to explore what a truly clear Vision could unlock for your business and your life I’m always up for a conversation.
